State Championship:

The Lady Panthers Basketball brought home their first State Championship title. They held on to their undefeated season record of 29-0 and set a record by creating the biggest point gap in the history of the tournament.

They played Chevak first and they won by thirteen. Next they played Cook Inlet and won by only six points. In the championship game against Ninilchik, they took an early lead and ran with it. By the second half they had a running clock and ended the game with a 38 point lead.

Two of our girls recieved All-State awards as well as the entire team winning the All-Academic award. Laura Labesky received Coach of the Year.

 
Regional Championship:

This year the both panther teams are doing very well. The girls are currently ranked number one in their conference with a record of 10-0 and a non-conference record of 22-0. They placed first at the St. Elias tournament against 4A schools. Our girls finally beat Yakutat and are on their way to taking the state championship. On the POW trip the girls won every game including one against Craig's varsity. The guys played Klawock, Thorne Bay, and Hydaburg. They lost to Klawock twice and Hydaburg once. The guys are currently 5-1 an beat Angoon for the first time in five years.
