Vivian has taught in Alaska for 25 years. She began her teaching experience in Buckland and moved to Metlakatla and eventually returned to her hometown of Skagway in 1988. She spent the first 17 years teaching Kindergarten through third grades and then fifth and sixth grades. She was moved to the technology department. She has worked as a member of the Alaska Standard’s Content Review Committee, Alaska Standards Validation Committee, and Alaska Teacher Certification Committee. She enjoys traveling with her family and reading.
