She has been teaching for 12 years with the Skagway School District. She was the coordinator for the Skagway Ski Club from 1998 - 2007 Previously she was the Education Specialist for the Skagway City Museum for two years and the director of local day care center for ten years. She is an amateur astronomer and enjoys many outdoor activities such as Nordic Skiing, hiking, camping and fishing. She is interested in all aspects of human development and the humanities. She is also interested in local community development, especially as it concerns our quality of life here in Skagway
